It's Easter time in Indianapolis again.
Okay, so they're not as tricky as wily rabbits. There's one area for preschool kids getting help from their parents, and one area for preschoolers hunting on their own, said Lions Club member Tony Massa.
Free Easter activities are being offered at Bass Pro Shops, leading up to Easter. Activities begin at 1:00 p.m. for small children, ages three and four.
Easter Egg Hunt for kids from 2:30-4:30 p.m.at Columbine Manor Care Center, 530 W. 16th St. The egg hunt starts at 9:30 a.m. "So when you do come just please be patient, we'll have a parking team kind of helping people get situated and it's just so much fun to watch the kids".
Family Celebration at the National Zoo - April 17, 2017, 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Each participant will receive a goody bag full of candy, color pages, toys and more.
Pre-register online, or the day of from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The kids hunt for eggs in waves by age groups, and the historical society encourages kids up to ages 10-11 and their families to join the hunt.
On Easter Sunday there will be a sunrise service at 6:15 a.m in front of the church and Easter service at 9:30 a.m. The raffle will be 11:45 at the main stage. The chocolate basket will be filled with goodies including mini eggs and a chick to take home.
UPCO Park - 10 a.m., 40th and Adams streets.
National Trust properties with egg hunts include Treasurer's House in York. Registration will be held prior to hunt. Ages 0-12 are welcome. A free lunch is included.
With Easter on Sunday, several community groups are holding egg hunts this weekend. They previously held fundraisers like the Children's Ball in March, which supported the Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter bunny will be arriving at 10:30 a.m. for those wanting to take pictures with the bunny.
After Forrester completed a countdown, children poured through the ball field gate gathering eggs as they crossed the enormous field. For children ages toddler through sixth grade. The eggs are usually gone in 10 minutes or less.
Not to be outdone, Sunshine Village has an Easter treasure hunt on Saturday and Sunday.
