Easter weekend is upon us, and that means that the annual tradition of sending your children out to look for Easter eggs is coming to an end.

Meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, snuggle and pose for pictures at the free, Hop Hop Horray event at Aberdeen Centre (4151 Hazelbridge Way).

Putters, the newly remodeled mini-golf course at Maxwell Shopping Center, is having a soft opening on Easter Sunday at 1 p.m The Easter Bunny will be there for photos for a fundraiser for the SVHS Girls Varsity Softball team and an Easter egg hunt for all ages.

What's even more exciting is that the beeping eggs are not just good for Easter egg hunts.

To celebrate Easter in advance of Sunday's holiday, a number of community organizations will hold Easter egg hunts and other events. For 8 and younger.

Zionsville's EGGnormous Egg Hunt of more than 15,000 eggs begins at 9:30 a.m.at 115 S. Elm St., Zionsville. The Gypsum Fire Department will host the annual Easter pancake breakfast starting at 9:30 a.m. 61-67, Imperial. For ages 1-12.

Community Bible Church is also hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Details: The free event will be organized by height instead of age. Free hot dog dinner, crafts, prizes. Hunters must bring their own flashlights and baskets. Sponsored by Neosho Parks and Recreation, Gospel Lighthouse Church and local businesses. Today, the hunts are organized throughout the country, partly thanks to the 5000 members of the International Association of Bomb Technicians (IABTI), who annually contribute $10,000 Dollars to what has been dubbed "The Rachel Project".

The City of Malibu's Egg Hoppening offers a fun-filled afternoon with an egg hunt for children ages one through 10 on Friday, April 14.
